⏳😅 Practice Exam-Obstructive Lung Disease
Practice Exam
Respiratory Therapists play an important role in all aspects of managing patients with obstructive lung diseases, from diagnosis, to acute treatment, rehabilitation, and home-care. This practice exam will test you knowledge in:
- assessment of lung function
-
acute airway and ventilation management (both noninvasive and conventional mechanical ventilation)
-
counseling (e.g., smoking cessation, medication management),
-
pulmonary rehabilitation
-
longterm O2 therapy (eg., certifying and recertifying need for 02)
-
home care (eg., conduct home visits to patients for set-up & adjustment of equipment in the home)
-
monitoring patients with Obstructive Lung Disease
In the current environment of value-based care in which all health care providers must function at the “top of their license,” RTs are increasingly at the frontline of diagnosis and may be the first health care provider that
patients see in evaluation for dyspnea.
